This week's Thursday talk is Lighthouse Birding by Norman McCanch. Come along to the Observatory for 7:30pm on 23rd October and hear how Norman's time with Trinity House gave him plenty of opportunity for studying birds and other wildlife as a general pastime.

17/10
BTO Winter Bird Survey at TQ7877 in N Kent. Best - Green Sand & Water Rail.

Worth in pm for the G/G Shrike😊
Also Ruff, 40 Wigeon, 62 Shoveler, 2 Pintail, Teal etc. Great water levels compared to dry N Kent marshes, where duck confined to tidal waters.
