Our Holiday Club, named ‘Wildlife Watchers’ was all about having a fun time, learning about nature and exploring the wildlife on our fantastic nature reserve. We did pond dipping, bug hunting, moth and butterfly spotting, beach combing and lots, lots more!

We made sure we played lots of games and did plenty of arts and craft activities as well.

What’s more, all our clubs were completely FREE as we managed to secure some funding from Reconnect and Pie Factory Music.

Last summer we offered places for Key stage 2 children (year groups 3, 4, 5 and 6) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Key Stage 1 children (year groups R,1 and 2) on Fridays.

Children could attend one morning a week as the activities were repeated each day, but did not need to attend every week.

We offered five weeks of fun with our first week starting on Monday 25th July and then 1st August, 8th August, 15th August and 22nd August. All sessions ran from 9.00am until 12.30pm and included a snack and a drink during the morning.

We must have the completed consent forms in order to allow children to take part; you needed to complete the three-page form and send it in as soon as you booked a place.
