As well as our conservation and monitoring work we aim to entertain and educate our members and the general public. To this end, we hold weekly guided walks, birdwatching classes in the winter evenings, illustrated talks about wildlife near and far (See Activities) and educational courses (See Youth & Education), etc. We also have special events like open days, optics demos, Xmas fairs, Raffles etc. See the calendar below.

Our activities are open to all. They are designed so that individuals come along to one off talks, walks or classes, but most people soon become regulars.

If you’re Home Educated, join us every 6 weeks for nature adventures exploring the habitats of our unique reserves.

Some evenings during autumn & winter months, we run a series of illustrated talks with a wildlife theme from experienced guest speakers.
