Wildlife in Close-up
at Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory
Sunday 29th August 2021
Last year we unfortunately had to cancel our annual Open Day due to Covid-19 restrictions. This year we’re hoping to run a smaller than usual event at the Observatory on the August bank holiday weekend (weather
and Covid-19 restrictions permitting).
We will be running a series of wildlife walks from the Observatory, as well as activities for children and young people. We also hope to serve refreshments, including tea, coffee and cakes!
A huge thank you to those who have already offered help! We’re currently seeking volunteers to help with several activities throughout the day including meeting and greeting, organising and serving refreshments on the day, selling raffle tickets, setting up and tidying away, giving directions and generally helping out.
If you’d be interested in helping at all, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and use the subject line “Wildlife in Close-up”.
We’re also looking for generous donations of cakes to serve. If you would be happy to donate cakes or baked goods, please do let us know via the contact details above, and please note we will require a full ingredient list of anything that is donated.
Thank you from the SBBOT team.
Check back soon for updates!
A massive thank you to everyone who made our Open Day 2019 one of the most successful ever!
