Thursday 17th

Two Tortricoides alternella in The Elms were our first records since 2011.

Wednesday 9th

Another, and possibly the last chance for a few days, night when conditions were mild for this time of year. The minimum was 9.8°C and there were seven moths of four species - two Dark Chestnuts, two Satellites, two Agonopterix yeatiana, and an Acleris umbrana. The Satellites were one of each colour form.

Two colour forms of Satellite. I Hunter 9/2/22.

Tuesday 8th

The main carpark trap was set for the first time in a while last night. There were three moths - Chestnut, Hebrew Character, and Acleris umbrana.

Sunday 6th

It is still too windy and /or cold to run the trap but in the sunny conditions during the day two Epiphyas postvitanas (Light Brown Apple Moths) were disturbed from a garden on Sandown Road.
