Tuesday 4th
Although there has been an amazing run of mild weather it has been too windy and/or wet to run the trap. However, last night it seemed as if there would be one relatively calm evening before the colder air sweeps in. The temperature did not fall below 8.1°C and there were four moths in the trap - two Mottled Umbers and two Acleris hastianas. The next few nights at least do not look suitable here so it was nice to get a couple of early species.
