Thursday 28th

This week's BMS Transect was rather quiet. I expect the heat and dry conditions may have something to do with it. Most numerous was Small Heath with eight.

After a few weeks of poor weather it was nice to get the BMS Transect completed again. There were only 22 butterflies recorded which was little lower than expected. Of note were five Painted Ladies.
