Tuesday 17th

A Clouded Yellow flew over the Observatory building.

Monday 16th

There were 146 butterflies of 13 species on the BMS Transect. Most numerous were the Small/Essex Skippers with 56, followed by Meadow Brown and Small Heath. Seven Painted Ladies on the beach front was notable.

Sunday 15th

Our first Clouded Yellow flew through the Dragonfly Pond Field. Over on New Downs there were seven Marbled Whites, eight Meadow Browns, 22 Small Heaths, and nine Small/Essex Skippers.

Tuesday 10th

Three Large Skippers on the Estate was notable.

Monday 9th

Our first Marbled White was on New Downs and only our second Large Skipper was on Worth. 

Wednesday 4th

A total of 20 Small Heaths, three Meadow Browns, and three Common Blues were at the Point.

Monday 2nd

Our first two Meadow Browns of the year were seen on the Estate.
