Monday 25th

A mid-morning walk along the Green Wall produced 18 Migrant Hawkers, 12 Common Darters, a Ruddy Darter, and four Willow Emerald Damselflies, whilst the Estate held ten Migrant Hawkers, 83 Common Darters, two Small Red-eyed Damselflies, and a  Willow Emerald Damselfly. 

Friday 22nd

Another Red-veined Darter seen, this time in the Oasis.

Wednesday 20th

At least 65 Common Darters were seen sheltering out of the strong winds on the Estate.

Monday 18th

Two Red-veined Darters were on RSPB Worth marshes this morning. A Black-tailed Skimmer was our latest ever record.

Friday 15th

At least 38 Migrant Hawkers were on New Downs in the midday heat.

Thursday 14th

We're gradually coming to the end of the Odonata flight season with only a handful of species still on the wing. Most activity is with the hawkers and the darters with Common Darter, Ruddy Darter, and Migrant Hawker responsible for over 90% of all sightings at the moment.

Tuesday 5th

A LESSER EMPEROR continued on Restharrow Scrape whilst a Willow Emerald Damselfly was in the Haven and eight Emerald Damselflies and a Southern Migrant Hawker nearby.
