This is a group run for 13 to 18-year-olds in conjunction with the RSPB. The aim is to bring nature to life by having fun with lots of hands-on activities.

Events take place in and around the Field Centre (unless otherwise indicated) on the last Saturday of the month from 10.00 till 14.00 and cost just £3.00 each session per person.

In order to take part young people must be registered with SBBOT. Please email info@sbbot.org.uk to register your interest and request registration forms. Events will be limited to 20 young people so please contact us as soon as possible.

Group Leaders are first aid trained and DBS checked and covered by the RSPB's insurance and support unit. Each meeting will follow a similar pattern. We will get to know the area by going to different places. Including visits to the ringing room, when weather permits, to observe the ringing process, learn identification tips and ageing criteria, and also examine any interesting moths that may have been caught the previous night.

Our policy regarding the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults is particularly important as young or vulnerable people's safety is of paramount importance to us. If you have any concerns at all PLEASE speak to our staff in confidence.

All our policies and procedures are available on request.
