John Randall, (Lord Randall of Uxbridge), was the MP for Uxbridge (1997-2010) He was environmental advisor to Prime Minister, Theresa May. He was awarded a Life Peerage in 2018.
He is a trustee of several conservation charities including the RSPB, Bat Conservation Trust and the Thin Green Line, a charity dedicated to the welfare of wildlife rangers worldwide. He is also President of both a Regional Park and a Natural History Society and a Patron of Birding For All.
Better known in birding circles as Alex, he is a keen birder in the UK and overseas whenever the opportunity presents itself, Prior to his parliamentary career he was a specialised bird tour leader for companies such as Birdquest and Limosa.
Other interests include sport and the fight against modern slavery as well as being a committed environmentalist.
