DESCRIPTION:5th March - A Journey to the Hebrides by Paul Hale \nWe stop off in Teesdale for Black Grouse on our way north to the Inner and Outer Hebrides including St Kilda\, a dual World Heritage Site both for its culture and nature. On our journey we see a range of species from Golden Eagle to Corncrake\, from Otter to St Kilda Wren\, and a range of breeding seabirds. We also look at the lifestyle of the St Kildans and somehow end up at a whisky festival on Islay. \n£6 per person including a hot drink and a biscuit - payable at the door on the night.

DESCRIPTION:Thu 26 Mar 2026 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM GMT Dungeness RSPB Reserve\, TN29 9NB \nWalk Leader: Phil Poole \nWe will start the walk from the Car Park at the ARC pits (opposite entrance to RSPB Dungeness reserve). After visiting the Hanson Hide overlooking the ARC pits dependent upon weather conditions we may visit the fishing boats near Dungeness Lighthouse for a a brief sea-watch\, before proceeding to the RSPB Dungeness Visitor Centre to view Burrows Pit and walk around the Reserve. There will be a lunch-time stop about 12.30pm\, with the option of further birding around the Reserve in the afternoon. A wide variety of birds should be found during the day\, including late over-wintering wildfowl and spring migrants\, as well as resident species.
