SUMMARY:Midweek Walk - Oare Marshes
DESCRIPTION:Starting from the KWT Car Park at 8.30am we will explore the Swale Estuary\, Faversham Creek and the East Flood. Late Autumn migration of waders should still be in progress\, as well as wildfowl and waders returning and settling in for the Winter. High tide is approx. 9.30am\, so we will have the advantage of a rising tide for the first hour of the walk\, and then a falling tide. The walk will finish at approx. 12noon.

SUMMARY:Kent Migration Day at Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory Timetable
DESCRIPTION:All activities are free\, but donations to help further our work will be gratefully received. \n\n\n\nRinging Demonstrations throughout the morning if weather permits. Arrive early to get your best view of migratory birds up close\n\n\n\n\nVisible Migration Watches from Sandwich Bay Beach near 'Sandilands' between 7am-9am\, 9am-11am\, 11-1pm and 2pm-4pm. 'Vismig' as its more commonly known\, will observe birds moving through this area.\n\n\n\n\nGuided walks at 9am\, 10am\, 11am\, 12am\, 2pm & 3pm. Meet at the Observatory's Field Centre. Each last no more than an hour and are relatively flat.\n\n\n\n\nGuided walks and activities for children and families will be running at 10.30am and 12.30pm. Meet at the Observatory's field Centre.\n\n\n\n\nMigration Talks\, presented by John Buckingham at 1pm and at 2pm\n\n\n\nOur Field Centre has a small shop on site\, stocking snacks and souvenirs. \n\n\nSandwich Bay Bird Observatory lies within the private estate of Sandwich Bay\, which operates a toll road. There is a small fee of £1 at the Tollgate for non-members visiting the Observatory. However\, you must exit from the same toll booth\, otherwise you will be charged £5. Once at the Field Centre\, parking is free. If the toll booth operators are absent during the time of your visit\, you can pay the £1 charge on your exit. \n\n\nThere will be an information point staffed all day
