Another Red-veined Darter was on the Estate today, this time by the Sailing Club area.
Saturday 27th
A Red-veined Darter was seen on Restharrow Scrape.
Thursday 25th
Hard work in the cool breeze. Singles of Broad-bodied Chaser and Four-spotted Chaser were on the Estate as well as a few Azure Damselflies. Three Black-tailed Skimmers and two Broad-bodied Chasers were on Worth.
Sunday 21st
Another first of the year with an Emperor on the Estate, along with three Broad-bodied Chasers.
Friday 19th
Our earliest ever Black-tailed Skimmer was photographed on Worth.
Thursday 18th
Not a bad haul along the Point with a Broad-bodied Chaser, a Hairy Dragonfly, 11 Blue-tailed Damselflies, and four Four-spotted Chasers.
Tuesday 16th
Three Broad-bodied Chasers were on the Estate and on Worth there were two Hairy Dragonflies, one Banded Demoiselle, and three Four-spotted Chasers.
Wednesday 10th
A single Hairy Dragonfly was in the Whitehouse. Worth marshes was much more productive with three Hairy Dragonflies, three Four-spot Chasers, another Red-veined Darter, a female Banded Demoiselle, 40+ Variable Damselflies, 12+ Blue-tailed Damselflies, and two Azure Damselflies.
Sunday 7th
There were two Four-spotted Chasers, 25 Variable Damselflies, and six Blue-tailed Damselflies on Worth marshes.
Friday 5th
A real surprise in the form of a Red-veined Darter along the edge of Big Gully. The earliest SBBOT record by some margin.
Wednesday 3rd
Three Hairy Dragonflies were on Worth marshes.
Monday 1st
Singles of Azure and Variable Damselfly were on Worth marshes in the morning, both the first sightings of the year.
