Eight species were on the Estate with Brown Argus the highlight.

Friday 17th

A good mix around the Whitehouse and Oasis included two Speckled Woods, three Orange-tips, three Red Admirals, one Wall, five Small Coppers, six Small Heaths, two Holly Blues, one Small White, and first Painted Lady and Common Blue.

Monday 13th

The BMS Transect produced 38 butterflies of ten species. Of note were seven Walls, an impressive tally for the transect. Another two were also seen on New Downs.

Thursday 9th

The weather was good enough to do the BMS Transect. Two Orange-tips, four Small Coppers, three Red Admirals, five Walls, and two Small Heaths. A similar spread was also seen inland on Worth.

Wednesday 8th

Our first Small Heath was at Dickson's Corner.

Tuesday 7th

A good mix on RSPB Worth marshes included two Orange-tips, two Green-veined Whites, one Small White, three Peacocks, one Red Admiral, and one Speckled Wood.

Sunday 5th

A Wall was on RSPB Worth marshes.

Wednesday 1st

An Orange-tip, a Red Admiral, and two Peacocks were between the Chequers and Mary Bax, whilst six Orange-tips were on the Estate.
