However, last night it seemed as if there would be one relatively calm evening before the colder air sweeps in. The temperature did not fall below 8.1\u00b0C and there were four moths in the trap - two <strong>Mottled Umbers<\/strong> and two <em>Acleris hastianas.<\/em> The next few nights at least do not look suitable here so it was nice to get a couple of early species.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_19373\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-19373\" style=\"width: 800px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-19373 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/sandwichbaybirdobservatorytrust.org.uk\/sitefiles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/P1043885-800x600.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-19373\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mottled Umber.
