{"id":12674,"date":"2025-10-01T12:48:55","date_gmt":"2025-10-01T12:48:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sbbot.org.uk\/2026\/?p=12674"},"modified":"2025-10-21T13:14:03","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T13:14:03","slug":"butterflies-october","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sbbot.org.uk\/2026\/butterflies-october\/","title":{"rendered":"Butterflies: October"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tuesday 21st<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Another Clouded Yellow was on the Estate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sunday 19th<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Singles of Wall and Red Admiral were on RSPB Worth marshes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Saturday 18th<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A <em>helice<\/em> Clouded Yellow was at the northern edge of New Downs, bordering the Sampher.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Thursday 9th<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Two Clouded Yellows were on the Estate, one in the Whitehouse and another in the Dragonfly Pond Fields.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Monday 6th<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The blinding sun and high temperatures were very out-of-character for October. Needless-to-say many butterflies were tempted out with the highlight being at least four Clouded Yellows on RSPB Worth marshes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Wednesday 1st<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Two Speckled Woods, two Red Admirals, one Wall, one Painted Lady, and one Green-veined White were on RSPB Worth marshes.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tuesday 21st Another Clouded Yellow was on the Estate.
