We're hoping to offer young people in the area a chance\u00a0to unwind in nature while boosting skills and confidence in birdwatching, connecting with the environment, and meeting like-minded people!<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">May is the best time to hit Sandwich Bay because everything happens at once. You\u2019ll catch the peak of bird migration, see rare orchids starting to bloom, and spot all the new spring insects and wildlife. It\u2019s basically the ultimate month for a nature trip!<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">We hope to see a mix of resident birds, spring migrants, and coastal breeders, including Sandwich tern \u2014 the bay\u2019s namesake species, often seen plunge -diving at the beach; Cuckoo; Reed warbler and other warblers;\u00a0Oystercatchers and other passage migrants such as\u00a0Wheatears, Whimbrels, Hobbies plus lots of species of insect!<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">We'll be sharing insights into the both organisations conservation efforts on our\u00a0leisurely towards the Bay, where we'll stop\u00a0to learn about the work we\u2019re doing to protect migratory\u00a0and beach-nesting birds.<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">It\u2019s a perfect opportunity to explore new places, sharpen your bird ID skills and enjoy the outdoors this Spring, all while meeting some wonderful new faces.<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">This event is open to people\u00a0of all backgrounds and experience levels \u2013 from seasoned birders to those just starting their wildlife journey.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementToProof\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><i>For more information and to book your place click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tickettailor.com\/events\/sandwichbaybirdobservatory\/2211666\"><strong>HERE\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/i><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>May Half-term Guided Walk 2026 This May Half -Term\u00a0join a team of rangers from Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory and White Cliffs Countryside Partnership for an inspiring guided nature walk.
