Dragonflies: July 2016
The autumn’s first Southern Hawker was on the wing in the Whitehouse and 4 Migrant Hawkers were floating about outside the Elms.
Despite much searching, the first Ruddy Darter of the summer was only seen this this morning – even though darters in general have been scarce, this is remarkably late.
There were at least 7 Brown Hawkers and 6 Scarce Chasers on Worth this morning.
A walk along Worth track turned up the season’s first Emerald Damselflies on the North Stream and a Brown Hawker along the track to the Delf Stream just past Blue Pigeons.
